§ Logo Usage Policy
§ 1. Purpose
The EGF logo and its variants are protected by copyright.
This policy defines the conditions under which they may be used to represent or promote the EGF format.
The goal is to ensure consistent and respectful use of the logo while preserving its integrity and meaning.
§ 2. Permitted Uses
You may use the EGF logo in the following cases:
- To indicate that a project, website, or product uses or is compatible with EGF.
- On personal, educational, or informational websites, provided there is no commercial purpose.
- For community events (workshops, conferences, meetups) related to EGF, as long as no official affiliation is implied.
- In presentations, course materials, or educational documents to illustrate or explain the format.
- For nominative use — that is, simply to refer to the EGF format in an informational context.
§ 3. Uses Requiring Authorization
Prior authorization is required to:
- Use the logo on commercial products (books, software, paid websites, clothing, merchandise, etc.).
- Modify the logo (change its colors, proportions, shapes, typography, or graphic elements).
- Combine the EGF logo with other logos, symbols, or slogans in a single visual.
- Distribute, sell, or reproduce items featuring the logo without explicit permission.
§ 4. Prohibited Uses
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Altering the logo’s shape or related symbols (excessive rotation, mirroring, cropping, merging, etc.).
- Creating a derivative or “customized” version of the official logo.
- Using the logo for a project, product, or service unrelated to EGF.
- Adopting the logo as the main logo of another brand, company, or organization.
- Using the logo in a misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or obscene context.
- Associating the logo with political, religious, or controversial messages.
§ 5. Logo Variants
The EGF logo may exist in several official versions (for example: color, monochrome, or simplified).
Only these versions, as published by the rights holder, may be used.
Any creation of a new variant requires written authorization.
§ 6. Visual Integrity Requirements
When using the EGF logo, you must:
- Preserve its original proportions and margins.
- Use colors faithful to the official version.
- Avoid any distortion or visual effects (shadow, perspective, filters, animation, etc.).
- Display the logo on a neutral or readable background.
